Hey heroes,

This is my first Hard Alert (HA) walk-through. Give me any tweaks and improvements in the comments. I can edit the post later. First and for most, any HA group should include all four of the essential roles. The roles are Healer, Tank, Controller and DPS (aka someone else to do damage). Healers heal (green bar) and protect. Tanks pull and attack. Dps deal additional damage. Controllers re-power the group (blue bar). Use this as a guideline for any HA.
(NOTE: Before entering any boss fight in a HA, make sure the whole group is in the room before attacking. If anyone is outside of the room, they will be locked out and cannot assists. You may have to wait until the boss fight is completed, which will make everyone else work harder, or you will have to wait until the attacking members are knocked out and wait until the boss fight resets.)

At the beginning of every alert, theres is a vendor (indicated with a $) or cola machine where you can repair armor, buy cola or sell items. For Normal level HAs, it is not recommended you have any Tier 1 (T1) gear since HAs provide Marks of Triumph which are used to purchase T1 gear. T1 gear can be found in the Watchtower. You may have seen the sets of armor locked in casings all around Watchtower next to iconic heroes. There is only one set of T1 armor for your given mentor. For example, Steel provides a set of armor. There are 2 other sets of armor, one for PVP and the other for Raids. The armor for raids is the Tier 2 (T2) which will be discussed in a later post. Each set of armor consists of 8 pieces of armor. There are 4 categories for each piece of armor, one for each role (Healer, Tank, Controller and DPS). Each piece of armor requires a specific number of Marks of Triumph, which range from 40 - 60 Marks. For Medium level HAs, it is recommended you have at least some T1 gear since the damage you sustain in Medium HAs is considerably higher.

....now onto the walk-through

This instance starts off right on top of a roof in the middle of the fray. It is suggested to repair if needed and buy cola just in case. Extreme colas run $900 each. There are 2 objectives once you start the alert. First you have to set off 30 EMPs. The EMPs are small canistors and you have to go up to them and hold (E). This will temporarily disable the Brainiac robots. Secondly, you will have to destroy 40 or 50 Brainiac robots. After these are done, the Brainiac Servator will spawn in the back during a cut scene. Start your attack on the Servator and watch out for the Brainiac ship. The ship will attack from above targetting individual players. After damage has been done to the Servator over time, the Servator will spawn a shield which blocks a majority of damage. On each end of the bridge, you will need to fire an EMPs. Each EMP is guarded by to 2 robots. Once the EMPs are both set off, the Servator's shield is lowered and you can resume attacking. Repeat these steps until the Servator is defeated.

You can then travel to the next objective. There are 3 objectives in the next area. One objective is to revive a number of fallen soldiers throughout the area by holding the (E) key (I believe the number is 6). You will also have to defeat and reprogram (using the (E) key) a number of Brainiac robots, which is 30 or 40. Then you will have to individually help 6 Soldiers transport weapons. These soldier are located inside each of the 2 buildings in the area. Talk to a Soldier and then hold off Brainiac attacks until the timer runs out. There are 2 Soldiers transporting weapons in each building. After the objectives are completed, another Servator will spawn upstairs. As usual, attack and perform your roles. Also, watch out for the Brainiac ship attacking from above. This Servator will teleport throughout the area but just keep attacking.

Once the second Servator is defeated, head to the third area. I suggest sticking together in at least groups of 2 because you can get easily overrun and knocked out. There are only 2 objectives in this area. First you have to reprogram the smaller, green Brainiac robots. Knock them out, walk up to them and hold (E) to reprogram. This is useful because they will help attack other enemies. The other objective is to reprogram 16 consoles throughout the area. The first 2 are actually located in the entrance of the area. Each console is surrounded by glowing, red auras. For the remaining consoles, there are 2 underneath the middle area. There are 3 consoles on the second level in the middle. The rest are scattered on the top side of the outside border. Most of the consoles are guarded by Brainiac robots. After finishing these objectives, another Servator will spawn in the middle on top. Perform your roles and take it out. This Servator is considerably harder because other Brainiac robots will continue to spawn until the Servator is defeated. Also, the Brainiac ship will attack from above. After defeated the Servator, defeat any remaining Brainiac troops that had spawned.

The fourth area is the last area before the final boss. There are 2 objectives in this area. One of the objectives is to take out 20 or 30 of the Brainiac Regulators (spider bots). The other objective is to take 4 pieces of Kryptonite to the transporter. Using your group, defeat the Brainiac troops guarding the Kryptonite crystals. Anyone can do the next steps. Go up to the Kryptonite and hold (E). Next hold (E) again to pick up the crystals and then transport the crystals to the transporter. Take care to observe the timer on the crystal (it is the rotating green circle on the outside). If it runs out, you will have to re-do the exercise. After 4 crystals are moved to the transporter, the elevator to the Prime Servator is activated.

The Prime Servator is the final boss. Wait until everyone is together to attack. Notice there are ice barrels which can be used to cause damage and health barrels that can be used to heal group members (only members in the affected range will be healed). Attack and perform your roles. Throughout the fight, the Servator will lauch missle attacks (there are on screen warnings) which can be spotted by glowing yellow circles. Dodge the missle attacks and keep attacking. After a certain amount of damage is done to the Prime Servator, he will spawn a shield and hover. Then Brainiac troops will spawn. Take them out and repeat until the Servator is defeated.

As this is my first post, any help is grealy appreciated.

Cheers,

During the first Servator (minor boss) there is nothing you can really do about the ship so don't worry about it. A good strategy, i think, would be to have 2 people each at each sheild generator,. I find it easier on everyone this way. Just keep attacking the Servator untill the sheilds come up and with 2 peoplr at each generator it should be a quick defeat. One trick I have learned from TheFaceAngel, when you have a big boss fight or large amount of enimies, look for health canisters./ You can throw them at the boss or into the fray and it will do some damage AND it will revive your health as you take damage. You can keep doing this as the health canisters respawn. I like the way this is going. Any questions or comments or criticisms or corrections are welcome and appreiciated.

Good tip Septimus. Health barrels are very handy in a pinch, too. And you're correct about the walk way. Positioning 2 members on either side of the bridge will make the boss fight go smoother. My only reason for mentioning the Airships, was to warn they can lay done some heavy damage. Thanks for the comments, Septimus

You can actually destroy the ships but its hard to target them and overall not worth it if you have a good enough team to just kill the guy.

source-"The Savior" destroyed one right in front of my eyes.
